Technical SEO Checklist
A prioritised list of technical SEO tasks to implement manually after the site goes live. Work through these top to bottom for the fastest ranking improvements.
Suggested Meta Descriptions & Page Titles
Copy these exactly into your CMS SEO fields or HTML head section for each page.
Technical Implementation Checklist
H1 & Heading Tag Usage
Each page has exactly ONE H1 tag containing the primary keyword (e.g., "Computer Repair Lichfield")
H2 tags used for section headings (e.g., "What We Fix", "How It Works") — include secondary keywords naturally
H3 tags used for sub-sections and individual service items
Verify heading hierarchy is correct in your CMS or code — no H3 before H2, etc.
Meta Descriptions
Add the meta descriptions from the table below to each page — do this in your <head> section or CMS SEO fields
Keep meta descriptions between 140–160 characters
Include a CTA phrase ("Call", "Get a Free Quote") and your phone number in the homepage meta description
Ensure no two pages share the same meta description
